Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness achieved through deep relaxation, dropping you into a deep meditative alpha and theta brain wave state, all while remaining conscious and alert. It is a place where we can tap into the parasympathetic nervous system to maximize self-healing as well as unwind habituated patterns that serve us poorly. It helps to balance our nervous systems, bringing us into a deeper state
of integration, mind, body and spirit.
This practice has been around for several thousand years and in its recent applications, has been used effectively in reducing stress, physical tension, pain, anxiety, depression and is successfully used to help people manage and overcome the symptoms of PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder). Yoga Nidra is easy to do, readily accessible , and can illicit profound positive results in healing and quality of life.
